A FUNCTIONAL PIECE OF ART

For us an artwork is something unique; a combination of craftsmanship and artistic appearance – an original with no copies. It is simply a solid and functional piece of art or furniture that you really can relate to.

We have always been inspired by old and well-made things. Objects in wood and metal shaped and coloured by time and wear, from small match-boxes in copper to big wooden doors, in a hundred shades of brown. The beautiful bite of the teeth of time.

We do not see ourselves as artists or painters. We are more like guest-directors of the laws of nature, the fantastic creator of random patterns and shapes. Our products are oxidized in a process using metal and environmental friendly liquids. It is a slow and time consuming method, but also a statement in our world of mass-production. We are inspired by the dark and mystic nature of Bergslagen and our products are designed to follow you through life and age with grace – the same as you.
